Demewe is a shopping and shipping service based in Erbil, Iraq. We purchase products from international stores (including Amazon, Shein, and others) on your behalf and ship them to your door anywhere in Iraq.

• ·Phone number — used to create your account and verify your identity via OTP code
• ·Full name — used on your account and for delivery
• ·Email address — optional, used for account communication
• ·Delivery address and city — used to deliver your orders
• ·Order details — product URLs, descriptions, quantities, tracking numbers, and prices
• ·Product photos — images you upload when placing an order
• ·Payment records — wallet top-up history and order payment status
• ·Device token — used to send you push notifications about your orders

• ·To verify your identity when you log in (via WhatsApp OTP)
• ·To send you order status updates and notifications
• ·To manage your wallet balance and payment history

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with:

• ·WhatsApp Business API (Meta) — to send you OTP verification codes. Governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
• ·Delivery couriers — your name and address are shared only as necessary to deliver your package.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in Europe (Contabo, Germany). We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Access to your data is restricted to authorised Demewe staff only.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

6. Push Notifications

We use your device token to send push notifications about your order status (e.g. "Your order has arrived in Iraq"). You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings or from the Notifications section in the Demewe app.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Demewe is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Demewe app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
